The DA FINE foam pad is the most versatile foam pad in the RUPES BigFoot range, delivering an effective rate of defect removal and capability for high-gloss finishing on most paint systems. Pair with RUPES DA-FINE polishing compound for moderate to fine defect removal, paint refinement, or final finishing after heavy compounding steps.

This new pad provides the same great performing foam material as the current random orbital yellow foam, expanded to also work with gear-driven orbitals, just with a more vibrant shade of yellow.

NOT SUITED FOR:

• Solvent-based polishing compounds.

FOR CORRECT USE

• Evenly distribute the abrasive paste directly on the pad. The paste will thus be correctly absorbed, enabling the pad to work at its best capacity.
• Carry out the polishing in an ordered and linear manner. The end result will thus be uniform over the entire polished surface.
• If excessive pressure is used, the pads will not work properly and could deteriorate quickly. It is sufficient to rest and accompany the machine during the polishing work.

RUPES’ expanded resin foam polishing pads are specially designed for the random orbital polishing system. They produce excellent results with substantial time saving and reduced compound consumption.

BigFoot’s random orbital movement creates high mechanical stresses on the foam polishing pads, increasing internal temperature.

The innovative “open cell” structure of the BigFoot foam polishing pads prevents the build-up of heat generated during the polishing process. In addition, this particular structure guarantees maximum efficiency in the polishing process with minimum downward vertical pressure from the operator. The centre hole creates superior ventilation and heat dispersion through special channels in the backing pad.

The innovative design of the truncated cone shape optimizes the performance of the large diameter orbit, and at the same time protects against accidental contact between the backing pad and the work surface.

SPECIAL BACKING PAD FOR FOAM POLISHING PAD

The RUPES backing pad is essential for the stability of the BigFoot System. Manufactured from expanded polyurethane, it is particularly resistant to mechanical stresses and together with the BigFoot polishing foam pad reduces vibration to a minimum.

The unique perforations in the pad are designed to create an airflow that helps to dissipate any heat generated by the polishing action. The material used for the manufacture of the velcro provides an effective anchor for the foam polishing pad.
